Its not every day that your invited To Bald Head Island North Carolina to photograph one of your favorite families.  I met Amanda and Wes about 8 years ago when I was asked to photograph their beautiful wedding in Winston-Salem.

This was not any ordinary shoot as you have to understand that I volunteered to create portraits not just at Sunset like many others, but I said, " Amanda since I'm taking the trip there to do this for you why not let me create some portraits at Sunrise?".  Sounds like a great idea, but... when you have 3 children at the time under the age of 4, it could get challenging right?  Well let me tell you, Amanda and Wes had their children up I'm guessing around 4:45 AM.  Yep thats right 4:45 AM.  Let me tell you how incredible their kids were.  They were attentive, loving , and a blast to work with.

Later in the day Amanda and Wes made sure the kids were able to rest as we we're going to do sunset photos on the Beach of Bald Head as well as with the Old Baldie Lighthouse in the background.  Since our shoot was in August it was a beautiful evening a bit on the muggy side.  As Amanda and Wes were getting the kids ready I volunteered to grill hamburgers and hot dogs for the family as I didn't want Wes to get hot and sweaty for the portraits.  So fast forward below are a few of the portraits from their session.  Photo Innovations creates portraits all along the North Carolina and South Carolina Coast.  From Emerald Isle, Bald Head Island, Wrightsville Beach, Figure Eight Island, Myrtle Beach, Carolina Beach, Oak Island and many others.  Its not too late to schedule your portraits.
